Pre Orders FAQ

Q: How does the Pre Order process work?
Firstly we need to gather enough pre orders to effectively "pay for the press" - this is usually around 65 pre orders needed for a single LP and 97 pre orders needed for a double LP. Once and only once we reach those numbers can we send the vinyl to be pressed.

Q: How long does it take for Records to be pressed?
Vinyl pressing is no quick process. Once the release is submitted, the pressing plates will be manufactured for the press. All leadtimes on this process vary according to the factorys then current leadtimes. Once the plates are pressed, test presses can be made for us to sample. This is a crutial part of the process as this is where we quality check before giving the go ahead for the full order to be manufactured. If everything is good at this stage, we sign off the test presses and the order will then go into production. This is around the time in the process that we recieve approximate dates for recieving the full order. This is when we usually can give an estimated date for shipping your order.

Q: What if the Test Presses fail the quality checks?
New plates would have to be manufacured and the process would start again. It has not happened to us before as our factory is extremely good at what they do and providing the best quality product is priority.

Q: Has it got enough Pre Orders to go to press yet?
Updates on all pre orders will now be Live and up to date on the "Updates" page - These will be updated once there is new news with a releases status.

Q: I placed my order weeks ago but i didn't get any tracking?
Please check the current status of the product you placed an order for on the "Updates" page - The status here is updated with the latest information on the new releases.

Q: Can i cancel my Pre Order?
Unforntunately we are unable to cancel and refund pre orders. This is because all sales made towards a Pre Orders go towards the press for the product. We are however able to offer store credit for the same value.
